Does MAP MD accept insurance? 

No, Functional Medicine is typically not covered by insurance providers.

Yes, a super bill can be provided if needed.

Yes, after the initial 2 appointments, follow-up appointments can be done virtually.

No, Dr. Myra recommends all patients have an established primary care physician for routine heath care, medical emergencies, and workup/testing for conditions outside the scope of functional medicine.

Although Dr. Myra has an active SC license, she primarily uses supplements and lifestyle modification to treat health concerns. Exceptions warranting prescription medication will be discussed on an individual basis.

MAP MD uses an online dispensary, FullScript, for supplement prescriptions. Suggested supplements are added to the patient’s FullScript account and the patient is notified via email.  If the patient chooses, he/she can purchase directly from FullScript.

Yes. If functional labs are warranted, Dr. Myra orders them via Rupa Health, an online platform. Rupa Health consolidates test ordering, makes testing user-friendly, and handles all billing.

Absolutely! Dr. Myra loves seeing patients of all ages and will start seeing children as early as 12 months of age.
